As a result of a few recent queries from residents – the MBRA committee provides a short update on activities and engagement with Shire in recent weeks.
Some drainage works involving pipes and pits undertaken by the Shire at the Minto to Surf St (East of Tennis Courts) easement has been completed after some time. This should improve drainage conditions in this area and we welcome any feedback from residents on performance. In addition some culvert works were undertaken from Spray St, down Foam St East and around Minto St to the entrance to the easement, this work is being monitored and some improvements have been suggested to the Shire.
Following the Wave St South Culvert and Crossover works last year, recent inspection has shown that the drainage is performing well and properties to the South of Wave St including on Surf St are experiencing better (less muddy) conditions.
There are a range of potholes re-appearing following road grading undertaken early July. Whilst the MBRA Committee has taken this issue up with the Shire, we encourage residents to Snap Send Solve any specific concerns they have adjacent their property. We are also enquiring about status of gravel aggregate surface given some areas of absence of gravel becoming slightly muddy, soft and slippery in the rain.
