Foreshore Planting – Working Bee

Meet at the ‘Cave Look-Out’- Merricks Foreshore
We have a large number of plants to plant! Come along to the planting working bee. There will be a bit of weeding and some general tidy-up work too. All helpers very welcome.
Refreshments provided. Drop in for a chat.
When: Sunday, 27 September 2026 from 10am
Meeting point: the ‘Cave Look-Out’ at the top of the ‘Cave Steps’, on the Fire Track between Cliff Rd and the Tennis Courts
Activities: Planting (lots of plants), weeding and some rubbish removal.
What to bring/wear:
– appropriate clothes and sturdy footwear
– sun smart attire: hats, long sleeves, sunscreen
– gloves
– equipment for planting and weeding (small spades and trowels etc)
– mallet for driving stakes into the ground for tree guards
All children, their families and carers are welcome. A reminder that children must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for their care and wellbeing.
