All this fabulous rain and sun – together with careful pruning, weeding and planting from our committed “full of-beans” committee means the reserve flourishing at its best.
Our thanks goes out to Dave Stewart whose support is invaluable. He has expertly handled the heavy lifting by taking responsibility for mowing and clearing away green waste as well as advising on problems and finding solutions as he goes. For example: he saw a fallen tree, cut it up and stacked the logs. What a legend!
We’ve just planted many new shrubs across the Reserve and it shows, so if you find yourself ambling down Palmer’s Hill Road, give yourself a little gift and wander through to enjoy the newly invigorated space. See if you can spot the tawny frogmouths, the koalas, enjoy the song of the birdlife and chill out to the tapping of frogs happily swimming in the lagoon.
We welcome you in advance to join us for our Picnic in the Park in late January when we will celebrate some warmer weather and take part in some wine tasting and social time.
