Bill Carroll Reserve

Bill Carroll Reserve is named after the late Dr W.S. Carroll, a prominent advocate of environmental protection in Merricks Beach. The Reserve provides an educational resource and is a pleasant place to experience the natural environment of Merricks Beach. Its lagoon provides a safe habitat for frogs and waterbirds which can be observed from the secluded bird hide. The Park is a popular centre for community events such the annual Picnic in the Park and the Easter Egg Hunt. All work in developing and maintaining the reserve is carried out by volunteers overseen by the Friends of Bill Carroll Reserve committee. For further information contact the secretary of the committee Jan Gilfillan at the above email address.

The Bill Carroll Reserve is located on Palmers Hill Road near the corner of Bayview Road.
